Blake Perry

My research is focused on the intersection of modern philosophy, critical theory, ethics, anthropology, and education. My research focuses on Kant, Adorno, and Du Bois, especially questions concerning reason, freedom, self-formation, and the social conditions of moral agency.

My dissertation, Aporetic Anthropology: Dialectical Subjectivity in Kant and Adorno, examines how modern accounts of subjectivity attempt to reconcile autonomy, embodiment, historical formation, and social critique.

I am also the creator of Popular Philosophy, a public philosophy project that introduces major thinkers, traditions, and philosophical problems to a broad audience.
